This is the Privacy Notice for Guernsey Sheltered Housing Group Limited.  It is issued in compliance with the Data Protection (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2017 (“the Law”)

In this privacy notice ‘we’, ‘us’ and ‘our’ means Guernsey Sheltered Housing Group Limited and/or any of the other companies listed above.

 

Depending on which of our products or services you ask us about, buy, lease or use, the different companies within our organisation may process your personal data.

 

Scope of our Privacy Notice

This privacy notice applies to anyone who interacts with us about our products and services in any way (for example, by email, in writing, by telephone or in person).

 

How we collect personal data

We collect personal data directly from you through your contact with us, including by phone, by email, by post or by filling in application or other forms, or by face-to-face contact.

 

We may also collect personal data from you via third parties (anyone acting on your behalf, for example, relatives, friends, health-care providers and so on).

 

Where you provide us with data about other people, you must make sure that they have seen a copy of this privacy notice and are comfortable with you giving us their data.

 

Personal Data we maintain

For all our services, we process the following personal data about you and (where this applies) your family and friends:

·         standard personal data (for example, information we use to contact you, identify you or manage our relationship with you);

·         contact data, such as your name, address, email address and phone numbers;

·         your date of birth;

·         contact details (name, address & telephone number) of your relatives, friends or legal representatives which you provide to us on a voluntary basis;

·         financial details – such as your bank details;

·         details of any contact we have had with you, such as complaints or incidents.

 

Sharing of your Personal Data

We do not share your personal data with any third party other than to assist you in the resolution of any problems/issues you may have in connection with the fulfilment of our obligations as set out within your lease, development schedule or other contractual arrangements.  These third parties will include electricians, plumbers, decorators, kitchen fitters, glaziers and general builders/handymen (this list is not exhaustive). Any data that is shared with third parties, will be limited to the extent that only enables the fulfilment of our contractual obligations to you.

 

Retention of Data

All data is retained securely and only used for the purposes for which it was collected under the Law.  Data is only retained for as long as is required to comply with our statutory obligations, or in order for us to provide you with the services forming part of a contract.  In any event, data is reviewed and weeded accordingly after 7 years.

 

Your Rights

The Law provides you with a number of rights, but specifically and of relevance, you have the right to:

·         request confirmation of the personal data that we hold about you and what we are doing with your data;

·         request correction of your personal data if incorrect, out of date or incomplete;

·         request that we stop any consent-based processing of your personal data after you have withdrawn that consent.

 

Special Category Data

We do not process any special category data as defined by the Law.
